Tomato Sauce
Ingredients
3 Tbsp Olive Oil
1 Cup Onion (finely chopped)
3-4 Cloves of garlic (finely chopped)
28oz. can Italian plum tomatoes coarsely chopped but not drained
15mL (5 1/2 oz. can) Tomato Paste
1 Tbsp dried oregano, crumbled
1 Tbsp finely cut fresh basil
1 tsp dried basil, crumbled
1 bay leaf
2 tsp sugar
1 tsp salt
ground black pepper (to taste
Directions
In a large enamel or stainless steel saucepan, heat oil and cook chopped onions, stirring frequently but do not brown (about 7 mins).
Add chopped garlic and cook for another 1 or 2 minutes, stirring constantly.

Bring sauce to a boil and turn the heat low.

Spread on pizzas, add toppings and cheese. Freeze unused sauce for later.
